OpenAI launches GPT-5, its frontier flagship with 400k context, tool calling, and image understanding.
GPT-5 is available through the OpenAI API and ChatGPT. It supports up to 400k input tokens and 128k output tokens. Tool calling, structured outputs, and multimodal inputs (text + image) are fully supported.
